"Eh, not really." Lilliana said, tilting her head to the side and critically examining it. "I've got a portfolio upstairs with all my better ones. That's where I really wanted to go, art school. But my stupid parents would never pay for that. Especially since it's me AND Sophie that are graduating the same year. And it's definintly too late for me to get money together." She sighed. "Whatever, no big deal." Even to her, it sounded like a lie.

Samantha examined the drawing. She couldn't draw, to save her life, though thank god she had magic to do that for her. Liliana's picture was... scarily good, just like her friend had called her scary smart. She looked up briefly when Lili mentioned money. "What about a scholarship?" Sam asked. "I'm sure there are still plenty of scholarships out there that would accept applications, and an art school might make an exception if they're sane, and see the talent in front of us." Samantha grinned reassuringly. "I bet if you maybe worked on your portfolio a bit and sent it to them, they'd consider giving you a scholarship and letting you in. I've heard it happen before." She glanced upstairs towards Lils's room. "Can we see it? Your portfolio, I mean."

"You really think so?" Lilliana asked of the scolarship idea. "And you can see the portfolio if you want...my room loks lie a tornado ripped through it though." Tentatively, she led the way from the kitchen, up the stairs, and down the hall to her room. As she walked through the door, she scurried to her desk, throwing her abandoned homework into a haphazard pile, shoving it into a folder. At the top of the bottom drawer of her desk, she pulled out her portfolio, a spotless blue binder, filled with her drawings. It was the only thing she was capable of keeping organized.

"It's not no big deal, if you want to go, there's always a way. And who gives a damn about what your parents say about it? How many times have you really listened before?" Tabby interjected at the fact that Lilliana wanted to go to art school.

"OhhH! We'd love to see it!" Tabitha put in, in the human friendly tone she was now faking.

She smiled as Lilliana led them to her room. Up the stairs...opening the door to reveal the mess that was a human's room. Tabby tilted her head. It wasn't all that bad. It was...human. Human things weren't all stupid....like the need not to have everything extremely straightened up and stuff. that was just extremely annoying...always having things picked up. She sent a friendly smile at Lilliana as if to tell her and Sam didn't care if Lil's room was a total mess.

Sophie walked in the front door and heard voices upstairs.

"Lils? Are you up there?" She called as she walked past the stairs and into the kitchen.

Seeing the chopped vegies she grabbed a bowl full and a fork and headed upstairs.

As she passed her sisters room she saw three people standing in it, frowning she stopped to say hi.

"Hi Lils!" She said with a mouthful of salad. "Whats up?"

"Hey, Soph." Lilliana said, forcing a smile, practically shoving the blue portfolio of her sketches at Sam. "We were just looking at some drwaings that Sam did." She lied cooly. "And they look really great, Sam." She threw a smile in Sam and Tabby's direction, begging them to go alone with her. No one in her family knew about her art, and she would be happy to keep it that way.

Sophie noticed something about the way Lilliana quickly pushed the portfolio into Sams arms that told her that her twin wasnt telling the whole truth. Sophie pushed those thoughts aside and smiled quickly.

"Cool, Lils are we still on for tonight?" She said turning to leave.

Whatever Lilliana was hiding she didnt want to push it.

Samantha's mouth fell open in a small 'o' as her friend pushed the folder at her. Huh? She closed her mouth and looked curiously at Lili... what was she doing? As the girl 'explained' to Sophie, Sam saw the look in Liliana's eyes, and understood. But... she still didn't completely understand why she wanted to keep the drawings a secret from her family. Samantha looked towards Sophie and smiled. "Hey Sophie," Sam said, clutching to the blue folder, so she wouldn't drop any pages from it. "Yeah, we were just looking at a few of my drawings... " Her voice trailed off as she fought to think of a convincing support for the excuse. Sam clutched the folder to her chest and said quickly, somewhat lamely, "I was just asking Lili if she thought they'd be good enough for me to get a scholarship somewhere or something..."
